Meet Cheryl
Cheryl is a board-certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She began her medical career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Georgia State University. Cheryl gained five years of experience working as a registered respiratory therapist treating neonates, pediatrics and adults. From there, Cheryl was inspired to do more in medicine and wanted to become a physician assistant. She continued her education, earning her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in Otolaryngology. It was while working in ENT when Cheryl was introduced to Botox injections and their benefits for her patients. This sparked her love and interest in the world of aesthetics, and she transitioned into the field of plastic surgery and eventually into dermatology in 2021. She has been truly passionate about dermatology ever since.
Dermatology has been a specialty near and dear to Cheryl’s heart, because she personally deals with chronic skin conditions, such as eczema, seborrheic dermatitis and acne. She knows what it is like to be on the other end, as a patient herself; therefore, she enjoys educating her patients and providing various treatments based on their skin health needs. Cheryl’s expertise includes treating acne, warts, skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, and skin of color. She also specializes in a variety of cosmetic treatments. Medicine is not a “one size fits all,” so Cheryl doesn’t treat her patients that way to ensure they get the best treatment possible.
