Rachel Orleans, MD, MPH
Dr. Rachel Orleans is a board-certified dermatologist. She is originally from Ghana but grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Orleans was a recipient of the Gates Millennium Scholarship, which allowed her to attend both college and graduate school on a full-ride scholarship. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and a Master of Public Health degree from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. During her time at Emory, she focused her studies on health behavior and health promotion and worked as an epidemiology assistant at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Orleans earned her medical degree from Cornell University, where she participated in several research studies and published multiple articles in medical journals. After medical school, she completed an internship year in internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma in her hometown of Tulsa. She then completed her dermatology residency at the University of Colorado in Denver, where she received extensive training in medical, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology. During residency, Dr. Orleans was actively involved in the Colorado Dermatologic Society. She also volunteered with the DAWN Dermatology Clinic for the Underserved, a free clinic that provides dermatologic care to patients without insurance. Dr. Orleans is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Orleans is excited to return to Georgia and serve the Atlanta metro community. She is committed to providing excellent and comprehensive dermatologic care to all patients with the aim of optimizing their health and overall quality of life.
